The ‘Chevrolet Corvette C6’ was launched in 2005 and represents the sixth and current Corvette generation, which is being manufactured at General Motors’ facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States.

The Corvette C6 was launched with a 6.0-liter V8 engine with 400 hp, which stands on a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. In 2008, the Corvette received a new 6.2-liter LS3 engine, which delivers 430 hp or 436 hp. The C6 comes with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, but a 6-speed automatic unit can be chosen instead since 2006. In 2005, there was a 4-speed automatic option.
