Powered by an Ecotec 1.4L turbocharged engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission, the Eco version delivers the best fuel economy in the Cruze range.

The Cruze Eco 1.4-litre turbo powertrain retains the efficiency of a small-displacement four-cylinder under most driving conditions. It delivers 103 kW of power and has a maximum torque of 200 Nm, enabling a range of more than 800 km.

The Cruze Eco features several characteristics that enhance its aerodynamics, minimize weight and reduce rolling resistance, such as the lower front grille air shutter, which closes at higher speeds to improve aerodynamics and opens for a better engine-cooling airflow. To enhance aerodynamics the Eco has an upper grille with more “closeouts”, it has a lower front air dam extension, there was an extensive use of underbody panels and it also features a rear spoiler. The Cruze Eco also has been lowered and features 17-inch lightweight aluminum wheels and ultra-low rolling resistance Goodyear tires.
