The racing cars manufacturer Chevron Cars Ltd. was founded by Dereck Bennett in 1965, who controlled it until his death 1978. The make was owned from 1982 by Roger Andreason and Tim Colman and since 2006 it is controlled by Chris Smith, founder of Westfield Sportscars.
The British brand was best known for its small-capacity sports cars and its Formula Two, Formula Three and Formula 5000 single seaters.
