Healey Motor Company was found by Donald Mitchell Healey, in Warwick, U.K., in 1945, to build sports cars. In 1952 Donald Healey and Sir Leonard Lord of Austin entered a 20 year joint-venture to build a sports car at Austin plant in Longbridge. Austin-Healey sports cars were an immediate success and were exported to the USA. Manufacture of this brand was discontinued in 1972 but the brand still has large numbers of enthusiasts worldwide
