Manufactured by GM's luxury brand Caddilac, the CTS is a mid-size car introduced in 2002 and currently offered in three different body styles: sedan, coupé and sport wagon.
The Cadillac CTS was first introduced as a sports sedan, as a replacement for the Cadillac Catera, and built on GM's new rear-wheel drive Sigma platform. With the CTS Cadillac marked the return of the brand to RWD cars and became the first model to be offered with a manual transmission since the 1988 Cimarron.
The second generation of the CTS was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2007. The new model was wider and longer than the original, measuring 4866 mm long, 1841 mm wide and 1472 mm in height. The second generation CTS became available also in the coupé and sports wagon variants.
