about this car

Unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show the D8 Peking-to-Paris is a luxurious 4-door high performance crossover SUV manufactured by Dutch brand Spyker Cars. Designed by Michiel van den Brink the model is currently still in development.

The car is named after the Peking to Paris endurance rally held in 1907 from Peking (now called Beijing) in China to Paris in France, in which an almost standard Spyker car participated, driven by Frenchman Ch. Goddard.

Although the model is a SUV, the car has several design features taken from Spyker's sports car, the C8, such as the "aeroblade" wheels and smooth rear view mirrors. Another feature of the D8 can be found in the back seat doors, which are hinged at the rear, creating so-called suicide doors.
