2 series:
Gen. 1
Gen. 2
Designed at Renault’s Technocentre the Logan is a small family car produced jointly by the French manufacturer Renault and its subsidiary Dacia of Romania.
The Logan is the final result of four years of development of Project X90, announced by Renault in 1999 after the buyout of Dacia in 1998. The Dacia Logan is the replacement of many older cars in production, including the Romanian Dacia 1310 series of Renault 12-based cars.
The Dacia Logan was officially unveiled in 2004 and it wasn't supposed to be sold in Western Europe. In 2005 a more expensive version started being imported and it became an unexpected success.
The Logan is based on the same B platform which is used for the production of the third generation Renault Clio, Renault Modus and Nissan Micra.
