Introduced in the market in 2006, the Daihatsu Copen Base is the 1st generation of the subcompact model. The 1298cc front mounted engine of the version has a power output of 87 hp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 nm. The version uses petrol as fuel. In terms of performance no other car of this series does it as well as this one. It has the most powerful engine of all variants. Being able to reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h, it sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds. The vehicle has good values it terms of speed when compared to the other versions on this series. It is the fastest version with a higher top speed. This vehicle has a transmission with 5 speeds and manual gearbox with front wheel drive. This subcompact variant features a combined consumption of 6 l/100km. CO2 emissions are fixed at 140 g/km. The Daihatsu Copen features rack & pinion steering, at the front it wears disc brakes and at the rear drum brakes. It is a convertible (cabrio) and has 2 doors and 2 seats.
