The German Daimler Motor Company (DMG), which goes by the official name “Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft”, produced car engines and automobiles between 1890 and 1926. DMG was originally established in Cannstatt, Germany.
Due to the First World War’s economic chaos, DMG merged with another German car company, Benz, to form Daimler-Benz and eventually start trading Mercedes-Benz cars. Nowadays, the German carmaker is simply named Daimler AG.
