Built by the Chrysler Corporation with the Dodge badge, the Avenger is a front-wheel drive, mid-size sedan launched for the first time in 1995.

The Avenger was first launched as 2-door coupe and remained that way until 2000. In 2008 the model was reintroduced to the market as a 4-door sports sedan replacing the Dodge Stratus, whose coupe version had replaced the original Avenger in 2001.
