The Challenger Rallye Redline is a special edition launched by Dodge in order to offer its clients a sportier looking Challenger.
The Redline package adds a large red stripe over the hood, roof and trunk, but it also gets a hood with two air scoops, a deck spoiler, 20in black wheels and heated front seats in red leather or dark gray leather. Hands-free phone, six-speaker stereo, fog lights and automatic temperature control are all also included in the package. It is available in silver, Tungsten, white or the pictured black.
The package also adds some performance tweaks to the Challenger. The Pentastar V6 gets a cold-air intake and dual exhausts. Despite these upgrades Dodge still rates the 3.6l Pentastar at 305hp and 268lb-ft of torque. It also gets a 3.06:1 rear differential compared to the 2.65:1 unit in the standard car. The Redline gets a sport suspension that stiffens the springs by 42% in the front and 22% in the rear and thicker sway bars front and rear. The steering is also 25% quicker and the brakes are 1in larger in front and vented brakes replace the standard car's solid rotors in the rear.
The special edition also gets a five-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddles.
