The Automobiles Grégoire was founded by Pierre Joseph Grégoire in Poissy (Yvelines), France, in 1902 first to manufacture engines but in 1904 the company built its first automobile. Besides passenger cars (sedan, coupé, limousines), Grégoire also involved in car racing. At the outbreak of WWI, Grégoire was producing 5 models but its cars were never sold in large quantities. During the war the company only kept two models in production but by the time WWI was over, finances put an enormous strain on the company, which Grégoire tried to overcome by introducing a new model. The revenues did not meet the expectations and Grégoire went back to engine production. Closing down occurred in 1924.
