Ford Escape (United States of America, 2000-present)

Escape was released in 2000, being one of the first crossover or compact sport utility vehicles (SUV) at the time. It was sold in Europe as Maverick. In 2005 a hybrid version was presented and very well received. It won the North American Truck of Year title. A second series was presented in 2008 and a new generation is already expected since the Ford Vetrek concept was unveiled at 2011 NAIAS.
