The 599 GTB Fiorano was unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show as the successor of the Ferrari 575 M Maranello. The name of the car represents its total engine displacement value of 5999cc, GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and finally, Fiorano refers to the Fiorano Circuit test track used by Ferrari.
This supercar features a 6.0l V12 engine derived from the Enzo supercar with a power output of 620hp at 7600rpm and produces 608Nm of torque at 5600rpm, which makes it the most powerful production Ferrari car. Matted with a manual 6-speed gearbox, this Ferrari engine produces 490.0 g/km of CO2 emissions and has a combined fuel consumption of 21.3 l/100km. Its performance is reflected on the top speed of 333 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.60 seconds.
Pininfarina was responsible of the styling which is somewhat similar to its larger brother, the 612 Scaglietti, given that both cars were designed at the same time and therefore share common interior bits. One contrasting feature is the 599's new roof line and rear design.
