Also known as the Daytona in recognition of the P4’s victory, the 365 GTB4 was a very successful car as production model but also in competition guise.

A total of 18 berlinetta versions were race-prepared and used by the Chinetti-NART, Pozzi, Filipinetti, Swaters, and Hoare teams. The cars were either built in aluminium or in steel, but cars could be lightened byCarrozzeria Scaglietti. The engines were also tuned and the suspension adapted to suit track use.
