about this car
The 128 Sport Coupé was introduced at the 1971 Turin Motor Show and replaced the 850 Sport Coupé in the Fiat range.
This car was available in four different variants. Two engines, a 1100 cc and a 1300 cc power unit, delivering 64 bhp and 75 bhp respectively, were offered as well as two different body versions, S (standard) and SL (standard de luxe). The engines were based on that of the Fiat 128, using 4 cylinders and a single overhead camshaft with downdraught carburettor.
The 1300 cc Sport Coupé competed in 1972 for Fiat's rally team.
