Ford Motor Company is an American car manufacturer with headquarters at Dearborn, state of Michigan, United States. Henry Ford founded the Dearborn-based company in 1903 and it has stayed there ever since. Henry Ford’s great-grandson, William Ford Jr., is the current chairman of the automaker.
Ford is the fifth biggest car company in the world and is now formed as a multinational corporation that has purchased and incorporated other car brands, such as Lincoln and Mazda. Its shares some of its models with the subsidiary Ford of Europe, while some models are produced exclusively for the American markets.
