Unveiled at the 1995 Detroit Auto Show the Ford GT90 was announced as "the world's mightiest supercar".

Ford claimed that its concept car reached 235 km/h thanks to the 720 hp of its quad-turbocharged V12 engine.

The mid-engined car took some styling cues from the Ford GT40, such as doors that cut into the roofline. The Ford GT90 was the first Ford to display the company's "New Edge" design philosophy.
