The Chevrolet HHR is a retro-styled station wagon which is sold since 2006. HHR stands for Heritage High Roof.
The vehicle was designed by Bryan Nesbitt and shares the GM Delta platform with the Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, Saturn Ion, and Saturn Astra. The unusual design of this car refers to the Chevrolet cars and trucks from the 1940s, specifically the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban.
It has a cargo-carrying capacity of 62.7 cubic feet (1.78 m3), a flat-load floor and fold-flat front passenger seat.
In 2008 a high performance version was introduced, the Chevrolet HHR SS Turbocharged. It features a 2.0 L turbocharged Ecotec LNF I4 engine and intercooler that produces 260 bhp (190 kW), race-tuned high-performance suspension, five-speed manual transmission but was removed from the market in 2010.
