Honda introduced the refreshed 2014 Odyssey at the New York Auto Show, and the new Touring Elite model is the first with HondaVAC, an integrated vacuum in the rear of the car. It also gets safety upgrades, better interior materials and slightly changed exterior styling.
Honda reworked the layout of the front to meet the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's small-overlap frontal crash test. It gets a reformed aluminum hood, aluminum fenders, twin-bar grill, new lower fascia, two-tone mirror housings, projector-beam headlights and LED taillights.
In addition to the vacuum, the Elite model also gets the expanded view driver’s mirror camera system, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The vacuum includes a replaceable filter and canister bag in the rear of the car. It is battery powered with enough charge to work for eight minutes when the car is off.
All versions of the Odyssey get a new center stack.
