Introduced in the market in 2011, the Hyundai Veloster 1.6 Style is the 1st generation of the subcompact model. Powered by a 1591cc engine, this model variant has a power output of 140 hp. The Veloster 1.6 Style features the biggest engine offered. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. Regarding the performance of this car, it reaches a top speed of 201 km/h and takes 9.7 seconds to go from 0 to 100km/h. The subcompact-version is the fastest version of this series. It has the highest top speed in the line-up. With a combined fuel consumption of 6.5 l/100km, it emits 148 g/km of CO2.

Unveiled at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Hyunday Veloster is a compact sports car which began sales in the summer of 2011. The model came to occupy the empty spot left by the Tiburon when it was discontinued in 2008. The model differs from its competitors for example by having one door on the driver side and two on the passenger side. The Veloster uses the new BlueLink system from Hyundai, similar to the OnStar used in GM vehicles.   more
