revealed a new concept of a supercar, a vehicle exclusively designed for the racing video game Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) in December 2014.

The Infiniti Concept Vision Gran TurismoConcept Vision Gran TurismoInfiniti Concept Vision G...Japan, 2014 > 2014 was in virtual shape, but according to the brand it offered a preview of design lines that could be part of a future flagship GT model which should be released in the upcoming years.

The Gran Turismo 6 players were able to download the Concept Vision Gran Turismo. The vehicle was born of a worldwide competition in which participants aimed to create a pure GT car for Infiniti. The concept was created in Beijing and described as the beginning of "an ambitious racing language" for the company.

Concept design elements of the Vision Gran Turismo may reach the models of Infiniti before 2020. For example, a model based on the Q80 Inspiration Concept may feature some similarities with the concept for GT6.

Let's now recall other concepts created for Gran Turismo 6

AMG Vision Gran Turismo

The design is meant to simultaneously evoke classic Mercedes models and the future. It features gullwing doors, a long, low hood and highly accentuated wheel arches. The radiator is inspired by the 300SL, but the louvers have been replaced by variable LEDs.

Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo

The designers of the German brand had complete freedom in terms of the vehicle development, leaving aside any production intent. The design of the GTI Roadster is up to the level of fame of the Gran Turismo series with highly sculpted and aggressive lines, but can still maintain some of Volkswagen's corporate identity.

BMW Vision Gran Turismo

BMW got inspired in its successful touring cars of the 1970s to create the digital vehicle. Still the brand managed to create a modern road racer that shows an image of speed even before getting on-track. With the front and rear spoilers to optimize the downforce, all elements of air circulation serve to reduce drag coefficient

Toyota FT-1

The wildly styled concept comes from Toyota’s Calty Design Research center in California that celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The name means Future Toyota, and it claims that the “1” represents that it is the brand’s ultimate car.

Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

The Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo is a vehicle that turns out to be an approach of what may prove to be a future high-performance model from Nissan

Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo

Developed in-house by the Design team at Aston Martin, DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo is a new, virtual-only GT racer that will be available for Gran Turismo 6 owners to download in July 2014
