For 2013, Infiniti is offering an Infiniti Performance Line version of its G convertible with a tuned version of the 3.7 liter V6 producing 343hp, an 18hp boost, and no available options.
The exterior of the IPL convertible has a unique front bumper with integrated fog lights, sculpted side sills and graphite-finished 19in wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires. it is availble in two colors: Moonlight White and Malbec Black.
The IPL G Convertible joins the IPL G Coupe in Infiniti's performance line. It gets special aerodynamic pieces, 19in wheels and a tuned suspension on top of the improved engine. The tuned exhaust has independent left and right pipes flowing from the engine to the back of the car. It gives the car a 30% reduction in exhaust pressure compared to the standard G Convertible.
The 3.7 liter V6 is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It matches revs on downshifts to give the engne a pleasant rev and Adaptive Shift Control.
The suspension has also been worked on for the IPL convertible. Spring rates are increased 14% in the front and 4% in the rear, and the stabilizer rates have been increased by 6% in the front and 125% in the rear.
The interior of the IPL G Convertible comes in either Stone or Monaco Red with red stitching regardless of color. The front seats are climate controlled with manual thigh extenders, aluminum trim and IPL-embroidered floor mats. It also has a 13-speaker stereo with headrest-mounted speakers, dual- zone climate control and navigation
