Insight was released in 2000. It was the first mass-produced hybrid car to be sold in the United States of America. This hybrid electric was considered the most efficient vehicle that runs on gas by the EPA. It is one of the cheapest hybrids on the market and was a hit in Japan. The second generation was released in 2009.
