Opel Insignia (Germany, 2003-present)

The Opel Insignia is a large family car marketed since 2008. The Insignia is the successor to the Opel Vectra. In the UK it is sold as the Vauxhall Insignia and in North America and China as Buick Regal. In Chile, the Insignia is badged as Chevrolet Vectra.

Insignia is the first production car with a dual-function frontal camera with traffic sign recognition. In 2009 the Opel Insignia was voted European Car of the Year. It is available as 4-door sedan and 5-door station wagon. The vehicle has a front engine, front wheel drive layout and it is also available with four wheel drive.

In 2009 the Insignia OPC, a high-performance version of the Insignia was launched. It is powered by a 2.8 litre turbocharged V6 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and Saab's active all-wheel drive system.
