Glassport Motor Company (GSM) was established by Bob van Niekerk and Willie Meissner in Cape Town in 1958 to build sports cars. GMS’s are generally known as the first sports cars to be entirely designed and built in South Africa. Aerodynamically styled, they were built in fiberglass, very light and very powerful and quite successful in racing. Last GSM cars were built in 1964.
