The GT4 Stinger Concept was revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.

The 2+2 sports coupe packs a 315hp 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injected four-cylinder with a six-speed manual, and the design came from Kia’s US design studio in Irvine, California.

The low-slung sports coupe has taut, simplistic styling with a long hood and a short rear. It rides on a custom chassis with a double wishbone suspension and weighs 2,874lb. The front features a wide grill and LED headlights. To put the power down, the car has 20in aluminum center-lock wheels with carbon fiber inserts and Brembo two-piece 15in wheels.

The interior is inspired by 60s sports cars with aluminum trim and molded leather race-inspired bucket seats. There is no carpet, and red pull straps replace the door handles.

The designers say that the car is inspired by Kia’s success in the Pirelli World Challenge with two turbocharged Optimas.
