Review
Based on the platform of another accomplished Korean, the Hyundai i20, whilst exterior design has been handled by Kia’s European design studio. The car itself boasts many trademark Kia cues, such as the ‘bowtie’ grille and prominent headlights, whilst also displaying a strong European influence – particularly in the prominent Ford Mondeo-style brake lights.
The interior, meanwhile, was designed by Kia’s West Coast USA studio with the Geneva show car offering a similar interior to its stablemates, most notably the Kia Soul.

In 2001 Kia Motors introduced a new model to its lineup: the Kia Rio. The model is currently in its thirdgeneration and has been produced in both five-door hatchback and four-door sedan body styles.
The Rio was unveiled in 2000 to replace the first-generation Pride, a rebadged version of the Ford Festiva, and the Avella, a subcompact sold as a Ford in some markets.
