The Italian car builder Lancia is one of the oldest e most legendary car companies, being notorious around the world. It has its headquarters in Turin, Italy, and belongs to the Fiat Group since 1969. Within the Fiat group, the Lancia models are marketed as the more up-market choice.
Long-time Fiat racing drivers Vicenzo Lancia and Claudio Fogolin launched the company “Lancia & C” in November 29th, 1906, in Turin. Each one entered with 50% of the company’s capital.
Lancia established a reputation for being a pioneer in automotive technology and it was also famous for sticking with right-hand drive throughout its first 50 years, until 1956.
