The Lancia Delta is a small family car produced since 1979 and currently in its third generation. The first generation was sold from 1979 to 1994 and the second generation from 1993 until 1999. The model was revived with the third generation in 2008. The Delta was very successful in the World Rally Championship in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Road-going versions of the competition cars such as the Lancia Delta HF4WD and Integrale were offered at the time.

The third generation Lancia Delta was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva motor show. Designed at the Lancia Style Centre, the five door hatchback is targeting the luxury small family car segment. It measures 4.52 metres length, 1.797 metres width and 1.499 metres hight, and has a wheelbase of 2.7 metres.

For 2011 the Delta saw some changes like a Chrysler derived grille, new trim levels and a new 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) 1.6 Multijet diesel engine.
