Land Rover Discovery (United Kingdom, 2009-present)

Since its inception the Land Rover Discovery 4 has won 36 awards. In the 2012 model year car aims to build on this success with increased efficiency, power and luxury. 3 new option packs are offered, as are some distinctive styling features.

Land Rover has increased the performance of its TDV6 engine significantly. The high power version now produces 256 ps, up from 245 ps, while the 211 ps engine has seen its Co2 emissions drop from 244 g/Km to 224 g/Km. The new TDV6 has also reduced its thirst for fuel with an improvement of 3 mpg to 33.4 mpg. Torque has also raised to 520 Nm in the standard engine and 600 Nm with the higher powered STDV6. The car also retains its 5.0l V8 engine which is both EU5 and US ULEV2 compliant.

A new 8 speed gearbox also improves economy and performance.  It will be available in EU5 compliant markets and will use the same style of rotary gear selector and paddles that has been seen in the new Jaguar XJ. The 8 speed gearbox&rs...
