The design of the Discovery Sport is heavily inspired on the Discovery Vision, concept unveiled in April at the New York Motor Show. Despite being 80 mm longer and a little lower than the Freelander, the Discovery Sport continues to seem compact, but less vertical and boxy.
The shape of the Discovery Sport was aerodynamically optimized. The front area was carefully controlled and the drag coefficient of 0.36 was optimized through computer techniques and tests in the wind tunnel.
Inside the model, Land Rover focused on making life easier for its occupants. The brand has used high quality materials and a vertical center console, with versatility in several details. The cabin includes storage solutions and has up to six USB ports, allowing multiple simultaneous charging of electronic devices.
The Discovery Sport also includes a Head Up Display, an advanced infotainment system with a 8" touch screen and the ability to tilt and slide the second-row seats, which maximizes interior versatility.
