Review
The concept car presented in Paris in 2010 is equipped with a 4.0 litre V6 pressure charged engine, which boosts 450 PS. Thanks to its low weight (1,295 kg) the Elan has a performance close to that of a supercar while offering customers everyday usability. Innovation will also be part of the new Elan, as it will be featuring an optional hybrid technology with KERS. With the Elan, Lotus intends to attract new drivers to the brand’s world.
At the Paris Motor Show 2010 Lotus unveiled five new models, the Eterne, the Esprit, the Elise, Elite and the Elan, that were to reach the market over a time span of five years. The Elan is scheduled to be released during the second half of 2013.
