William Morris and Cecil Kimber launched the British brand of sports cars MG in 1924. The business derived from William’s formerly established company, a dealer of Morris cars named "Morris Garages" (which originated the MG tradename), set at Oxford, England.
These days, the MG name is still being used to badge the sports-engineered versions of cars from other brands held by SAIC.
