The Mazda BT-50 Regular Cab 4x2 Active (chassis) was launched in 2008. It is the 1st generation of the pick-up model. Under the hood, this version is powered by a straight 4 2499cc engine which delivers maximum output of 143 hp at 3500 rpm and a maximum torque of 330 nm. This is the entry-level of this series line-up. The BT-50 Regular Cab 4x2 Active (chassis) has the least powerful engine amongst all variants. This pick-up (standard cab) is equipped with a manual 5-speed gearbox and has a rear wheel drive layout. This vehicle reaches the 100km/h mark in 10.4 seconds at a top speed of 170 km/h. The pick-up variant has good values it terms of speed when compared to the other versions on this series. It is the fastest version with a higher top speed. It features an average fuel consumption of 8.3 l/100km that translates into 227 g/km of CO2 emissions. The Mazda BT-50 is the most fuel-efficient in the BT-50 line-up. The version of the BT-50 features recirculating ball steering, at the front it wears disc brakes and at the rear drum brakes. As for the seating arrangement, it offers space for up to 2 persons.
