at the 2014 edition of the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance.

It received some changes that include developments in the Brake Steer system, in addition to more refined active aerodynamics and a race set-up of the ProActive Chassis Control (PCC) technology.

Like the 650S Coupé650SMcLaren 650SUnited Kingdom, 2014 > present, the 650S Sprint design optimizations allow it to offer higher levels of downforce while reformulated air inlets allow better cooling of the 3.8 twin-turbo M838T engine. Both the engine and transmission remain from the 650S, however, they both receive an exclusive calibration thinking about the driving experience on track.

With a clear competition look, the interior of the 650S Sprint was stripped so as to minimize the weight of the vehicle, without compromising safety and comfort of the driver. Built around the carbon fibre MonoCell chassis, the interior includes a safety roll-cage according to FIA standards. The driver sees its driving position optimized thanks to the HANS carbon fiber sports seat, with six point harness. The air conditioner is maintained in order to increase the comfort of the vehicle.

The 650S Sprint and the 650S GT3650S GT3McLaren 650S GT3United Kingdom, 2014 > present share some design details that include larger fuel tank with quick full connectors. Also similar is the front radiator and the engine hood inspired by the GT3 version, with air vents incorporated into the radiator. The shutters of the front wings help to optimize the flow of air over and around the vehicle.

The Sprint version of the 650S offers a paint scheme with inverted colors compared with the 650S GT3 presented in 2014 in Goodwood.

It also offers a series of options and upgrades that include an aerodynamic package developed with CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technology that includes a rear wing and a front splitter in carbon fiber. In addition a passenger seat with six-point harness is available as well as other lightweight components like a polycarbonate windshield.
