The C63 AMG Coupé is powered by AMG’s M156 engine, a 6.2 litre powertrain with a power output of 457hp and torque of 600Nm. Thanks to it the coupe is able to reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited) and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds. The AMG engine is combined with a seven-speed MCT (multiclutch transmission), a development of Mercedes-Benz\'s 7G-tronic unit.

When equipped with the Performance package, power is increased to a total of 487 hp, with speed limited to a maximum 250 km/h. In this case the C63 AMG is able to reach the 100km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Differences between the standard and AMG version of the C-Class Coupé include a deeper front bumper with larger air cooling ducts mounted on each side with LED running lights placed above the duct rather than through the middle.

A reworked grille now features a more prominent chrome surround and single horizontal slat dividing the three-pointed star. At the back the C63 AMG features a subtle lip spoiler attached to the trailing edge of the trunk and a redesigned bumper with a black diffuser element that houses four chromed exhaust pipes. The standard wheel package uses 18-inch alloys shod with 235/40 (front) and 255/35 (rear) tires.

Inside the C 63 AMG has been equipped with the latest version of Mercedes-Benz\'s Command entertainment and navigation system along with a long line of standard safety features, including attention assist and blind-spot assist.
