The Mercedes GL63 AMG is a full-size, seven-passenger SUV that will become available in November. The SUV is fitted with a bi-turbo, 5.5l V8 engine with 557hp and 760Nm of torque.

"The new GL 63 AMG completes our performance-oriented all-wheel drive offering. In addition to the ML 63 AMG all-rounder and the recently unveiled, characterful G 63 AMG and G 65 AMG models, the GL 63 AMG places particular emphasis on dynamism and style. Combining the first-rate comfort of the S-Class with the performance of an AMG sports saloon, the GL 63 AMG is unique in its segment," said Ola Källenius, Chairman of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.

The direct-injected engine uses 12.3l/100km and emits 288g/km of CO2, but it will accelerate the behemoth to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds with an electronically-limited top speed of 250km/h. The transmission is Mercedes 7G-Tronic, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that includes Eco, Manual and Sport modes.

To keep the truck on the road, Mercedes has fitted the car AMG Ride Control, 4Matic and Active Curve System. AMG Ride Control includes an air ride suspension with Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus modes, and the curve system prevents the car from rolling.

The GL63 AMG rides on 21in, five-spoke wheels and 390 x 36 millimeters brakes in the front and 345 x 26 millimeters in the rear.
