In June 2011, Mercedes-Benz launched a new ‘Grand Edition’ version of the GL class SUV.
The special edition is available with all engine versions in the GL line up and aims at providing “a level of spaciousness and comfort that is on par with a luxury saloon.”

The ‘Grand Edition’ features dark tinted headlamps, black radiator grill, gloss louvers, a redesigned front bumper and integrated LED daytime running lights. Further, the vehicle comes with new 20” wheels finished in Himalayas grey metallic, heat insulating and infrared-reflecting laminated glass and the addition of aluminium look running boards complete with a new exhaust tailpipe trim.

The GL ‘Grand Edition’ has room for up to seven passengers. Comfort headrests also come as standard as do ambient lighting and a roof liner in black design fabric. The floor mats and centre console will feature ‘Grand Edition’ badges and lettering to enhance the stainless steel sports pedals and stainless steel door sill panels.
