First launched in 1989 the Gold Convertible is a Midas model, currently built by Alternative Cars Ltd. The model is based on the Midas all-GRP monocoque and uses the mechanical components from an Austin or MG Metro.
The Midas Gold was designed to make the maximum of the Metro components.
