The Renault Fluence was revealed in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is a compact mid-size sedan based on the Renault/Nissan C platform.

From its dimensions the Fluence is placed between the compact family saloon C-segment and the upper-medium segment.

The Fluence is built at the Oyak-Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey and Santa Isabel factory, in Cordoba, Argentina for Latin America.
