Ranger is a pick-up truck launched in 1983 for the North American market only. It was the best-selling compact pick-up in the USA from 1987 to 2004.
From 1994 to 2010 Mazda launched a re-badged variant of the american Ranger called Mazda B-Series.
Available with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4- and 5-speed automatic transmission, the Ranger also offers a range of engines, namely a 2.3L Duratec, 2,5L OHC, 3.0L Vulcan V6 and 4.0L Cologne V6.

Ford has confirmed that production of the Ranger will cease in 2011 and there are no plans to sell the next generation in the United States.
