GMC Sierra and Yukon Get Heritage Editions to Celebrate Marque's Centenary

GMC, which offers slightly more heavy duty versions of General Motors' trucks, is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2012, and to celebrate it is offering Heritage Edition versions of the Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.

To show off their centenary status, the Heritage Edition trucks will have the original GMC logo with the words Heritage Edition on their doors. They will be offered in Heritage Blue for a $195 premium, White Diamond for $995 and Onyx Black for no additional charge.

The special edition Sierra also includes embroidered floor mats and headrests; chrome trim on the doors handles, mirror caps and door moldings; 20in chrome wheels; the Convenience Package that includes rear park assist, adjustable pedals, Universal Home Remote, EZ-Lift locking tailgate and rear wheelhouse liners; and a rear-view camera. The package adds $2,645 to the Sierra's base price.

Both Yukon Heritage Editions include embroidered floor mats and headrests; the an equipment package with 10-way leather memory seats, headed second-row seats with power release, power-operated lift gate and heated side mirrors; and optional 20in wheels. The package costs $1,970 on the Yukon and Yukon XL or $1,820 for the Yukon XL ¾ ton model.

The three trucks will debut at the New York Motor Show.
