Aston Martin Dragon 88 Edition Celebrates Auto Salon China

Aston Martin is celebrating opening 11 new dealerships in China in 2012 by building a special edition Dragon 88 edition based on the DBS, Virage and Vantage V8 S. The special edition will be available on 88 cars of each model. The cars will be built by Aston Martin's new Q bespoke service. 

The cars are set apart by a 24-karat gold front Aston Martin badge, a plaque with the model's number on the inside of the door, golden dragon embroidered on the front headrests, gold dragon trim on certain other pieces of the interior and gold stitching for interior. The cars are available in a cranberry red and gold. 

“We expect China to become one of our most important markets and look forward to sharing the Aston Martin experience with Chinese customers.  Our dealership network is growing very quickly.  It now includes Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Shenyang and Ordos City, and will soon include Kunming and Tianjin. Today Aston Martin operates nine dealerships in the region, with 11 additional showrooms planned to open in China this year alone,” said Aston Martin Global Sales Director Andy Gawthorpe.
