At one point, Aston Martin had considered launching Lagonda as its own brand, but the company realized that there was no point. However, it does not prevent Aston Martin from using Lagonda as a model name on a more luxury-oriented model.
“In places where this car must sell, like China, no-one has even heard of Lagonda. We are working hard to build Aston Martin over there so what’s the point of doing it all over again with a name no-one knows,” said Bez.
