and aims to attract new and younger urban drivers to the brand. The Q2 also introduces new design details and will be available with six engine choices and optional all-wheel drive.

-styled in the C-pillar and rear lights with a new design. According to Audi, the roofline enables the Q2 provide a generous headroom inside the vehicle. Furthermore, the inner intelligent configuration allows a load capacity of 405 liters which may rise to 1050 liters with the seats folded.

 

The Q2 is a five-door five-seat SUV that will hit the market with standard front-wheel drive. The range will consist of three TFSI and three TDI engines, with displacements between 1.0 and 2.0 liters.

 

The standard petrol engine comes from the A1 with 1.0 liters and output of 116hp. With cylinder deactivation technology, the 1.4-liter TFSI has 150hp and finally the most powerful version will be equipped with the 2.0-liter TFSI engine with 190hp. The diesel range will comprise the 1.6-liter TDI 116hp and two versions of a 2.0-liter TDI 150 and 190hp. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions information hasn't been revealed.

 

The 2.0-liter versions will receive as standard the quattro all-wheel drive system, but other versions may also be purchased with this system optionally. The Q2 can be driven in four different modes (Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Efficiency) adapting the model to different situations. There is an additional Individual mode which allows the driver to configure the vehicle according to its own preferences.

 

The Audi Q2 will still be available with a range of assistance technologies that have been included in the compact segment of the brand. In addition to the automatic braking function and collision and pedestrian traffic assistant system and adaptive cruise control, the Q2 also receives traffic signals recognition technology and lane assistance based on a camera. Active parking systems are also available.

 

The start of the new Q2 sales is expected to take place in mid 2016, with first deliveries to happen in Autumn.
