Audi Tradition Showing Classic Models Throughout Europe This Summer

Audi Tradition will travel to 25 events in Europe this year showcasing historic Audi models. This includes a visit to Monaco with Jackie Ickx driving an Auto Union Type D through the city, and an Auto Union Type C will open the 24 Heures de Francorchamps on July 28. 

Audi will crisscross Europe entering a variety of historic races and hillclimbs. Audi has entered 5 DKWs from the 1950s into the Mille Miglia Historic in May. Audi will have a 700 square meter space at the Techno Classica in Essen, Germany, showcasing historic models. This year's theme is hillclimb races, and Audi will bring an Audi Type C that won the International Austrian Alpine Rally from 1912 to 1914 and 1965 NSU 1300 TT that won the GT Hillclimb Championship that year. An Audi Quattro S1 will also be there. 

If you miss the Auto Union Type D in Monaco, it will also be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Ennstal Classic in Austria. 

Audi leans heavily on its motorsport history when it comes to marketing. It will be at 15 separate classic car and motorcycle events in Germany alone this summer.
