Bentley Continental GT3 Will Make Racing Debut in Dubai

racecar for over a year, and it is finally coming to fruition. The car will make its competition debut at the Gulf 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi on December 13, and it has announced a trio of talented British drivers to be the first to pilot the car in Guy Smith, Steven Kane and Andy Meyrick. All three drivers have been testing the car ahead of its race debut.

“After completing development and endurance testing on a variety of race tracks around Europe since we unveiled the car at Goodwood in July, we’re confident that the Continental GT3 is prepared for its first test race. While the development work never stops, we feel ready to take on the competition for the first time in Abu Dhabi,” said Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush.

Guy Smith has a long history with Bentley racing having driven for the team at its 2003 win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Andy Meyrick is a talented young sports car driver with experience in LMP1, LMP2 and the DeltaWingNissan DeltaWingJapan, 2012 > present19 photos
