the new M models are distinguishable through the new front bumper with larger air intakes larger, painted wheel arches, redesigned fenders with an air inler that draws air from the front wheels, bulkier door sills and deeper bumpers with four chromed exhaust outlets.
The BMW M also made significant changes in the suspension of the X5 M and X6 M, regarding the standard models. Among them is the front upper wishbone configuration which allows for more camber, a more controlled progression of camber as the lateral force increases and an increased pivoting axis. Other changes include unique elasto-kinematic properties with firmer springs and dampers which provide a reduction of 10 mm of ground clearance compared to the standard models.
The new SUV M still gets an air suspension with self-leveling rear axle and electronical adjustable dampers with three modes: comfort, sport and sport plus.
