and other items signed by Bolt for a total of $193,191. The entire amount will go to the Usain Bolt Foundation that supports education in Jamaica. Taken alone, the Bolt Gold GT-R sold for $187,100.

The Bolt GT-R went to a buyer in Australia and will be specially built and delivered to the owner.

The auction for the items ran for 10 days from November 22 to December 4, 2012. The other items consisted of helmets, driving suits, boots and clothing that were all signed by Bolt.

"My partnership with Nissan greatly benefits the work of my Foundation. This donation will help many kids get access to better facilities, play areas and educational materials in Jamaica. I am delighted to be working with Nissan to do this," said Bolt.

Bolt became a brand spokesman for Nissan October 2012 as part of their "What If_" advertising campaign.
